The GSC DAMA is an employer-sponsored visa program which comes under the Temporary Skill Shortage visa (Subclass 482) or the SESR (Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Subclass 494 visa labour agreement streams.
Applications can only be submitted by Employers.
An individual worker cannot apply for a visa independently under the GSC DAMA.
By making a request an employer is seeking the endorsement of the DAR to be able to:
- access the GSC DAMA; and
- thereby request to enter into a Labour Agreement with the Australian Government.
The DAR cannot require the Australian Government to agree to enter into a Labour Agreement with an employer and will not be a party to any such Labour Agreement.
Employers must understand and accept that the DAR is under no obligation to endorse any request for a Labour Agreement.
